A 2-fer, 2-fer Workout

Greetings,

This morning's cardio workout routine was on the XC ski machine, just 12 minutes only.  I decided on a 2 minutes easy, 4 minutes Tabata x 2 circuit, the "2-fer, 2-fer".  2 minutes easy, 4 minutes hard, x 2.

Went fairly well.  I'll be pretty much sticking to indoor workouts from now on, I'd say, until springtime, or unless the weather takes an awesome turn to warmer conditions.  So, I'll either be getting my XC skier workouts at home, some kettlebell cardio, or some runs on the treadmill at the gym. I prefer a little cross-training with all 3 methods, so it can keep things interesting from workout to workout.

Yesterday I mentioned how I am pondering the AKC vs RKC methods to try out.  Really leaning towards the AKC style to try out.  They sort of label it "soft-style" versus the "hard style" method that's connotated with RKC workouts.  I still think both ways are tough, because its all about controlling the chaos of kettlebells. I have noticed that both methods have different ways to perform some exercises, so they are similar, yet uniquely different.  Going to spend part of today figuring out my AKC plan of attack.

Speaking of Kettlebells, I went out last night, dressed up as one.  I came up with the handle portion of it by scrapping together some roof venting and tucking it inside a backpack to wear, so the handle was behind me, yet around my head at the top. It looked goofy but it did win me a gift certificate for "Most Unique" costume.  I thought the most unique one was 3 people dressed up as those alien characters from Sesame Street, the ones that go "yip yip yip yip, uh-huh, uh-huh, yip yip yip yip".  Couldn't remember what they are named, but it sure was an awesome costume idea! At least Halloween is the one night per year where you can get by with looking stupid!
