Another fast one...
Greetings,
Since Tuesday's effort went really well for me with the Triangle Tabata Run, I went the same route today, but didn't do it Tabata-style.
I simply started out easy, going down the road and hitting the Finley-famous "Airplane Corner" at about 3:30 on my watch. I then tried to dial-in on my race-pace feel and return the trip back home at that speed, I got back home when it hit 7:45 for my time. This was 4:15 worth of race-pace feel and really, its about the same time frame as doing a Tabata workout format. First 4 minutes would be rated easy, 2nd 4 minutes would be at alternating paces.
Time-wise this worked out well once again. Had enough time to shower, shave & eat by the time I headed to work.
I think once I start my new job soon, and its basically down the block from me, I won't have to worry about driving to work and saving some more time that way. This allows just a few more minutes for more high intensity workout formats.

On a side note, my volleyball C-squad team is undefeated at 4-0 for the season, and the JV & V squads I help coach are also undefeated in regular play. This is keeping me pretty busy the last couple of weeks. Saturday will be an end to a 7 games in 11 days stretch we just had. Not all squads had 7 games, but we had 1 or all of the squads competing on those 7 days. With only so much time available between a FT job and coaching in afternoon/evenings, you can see why I love doing short, brief workouts out of neccessity.
