More Tabata Turbo's

Greetings,

My body felt like a short & brief run this morning.  Must be feeling worn down from work or something lately.  So, I opted for a favorite of mine that's always good on saving time.

Tabata Turbo's.

2 minute jog to track
2 minute jog on the track

4.5 minutes of 20s race-pace, 10s coast x 9
(added one more instead of the usual 8, so I could complete 3 laps)

Jog home for recovery in about 2 minutes.

I had one 100m section on the track where the 20s hard efforts lined up just right, so I could see how close I was going at a race-pace feel.  Hit that section good every time. Getting 3 laps in the 4:20 range puts the race-coast effort into the sub 6-minute pace time frame.

This weekend I have a family gathering once again this summer, which probably means a lot of over-eating will happen, mostly on purpose.  I don't care what people say about 'holding back' during summer food-fests with family or holiday gatherings with family.  Its my family.  Don't tell me how to eat or spend my time with my family...if God wants me to spend time with family, I'm going to enjoy my family's food & fellowship.

Everything in life doesn't involve a quest to attain a six-pack ab appearance.

Most of the time my motto in life is: Run fast & enjoy it!

Anyway, I will probably try an early morning workout on Saturday, before the madness begins.  It will sure beat trying to run after 2 days of eating a bunch of food!

Run Strong, Run Fast...
Run So As To Win!
