A Quick Tabata-ish morning run...

Greetings,

Decided for a quick morning run this morning, as my evenings this week are tied up for the most part, and morning runs will have to do for now.

Used the Stick device to get the legs warmed up, but I should have done it a bit longer than I did, because into my run, my calves really got tight/sore and were feeling pretty stressed after the run.  My run today went as follows:

4 minutes easy
4 minutes Tabata of 20s hard, 10s easy x 8
2 minutes Tabata of 15s hard, 15s easy x 4

I ran a small loop within my town for this quick little jaunt.

Should have used my foam roller on my calves, since they are still sore after the run and they will probably bother me all day, I'm sure.

My friendly "Outside the Box" buddy, Trainer Sarah Rippel, blogged recently about her outdoor run she did.  She used her GPS device to help her track the run & its affects on her.  Check out her blog for a quick write-up on how she did: http://fitprosarah.com

I'm still undecided on what GPS device to get in the near future.  I hear the Garmin series are pretty solid to use, and many runners I have coached in the past are now using them.
