Get Your Team Together for "The Big 1"
Greetings once again: I know I just posted yesterday, but today brought a good rush of good stuff to "The Nation", as I continue to plan out The Big 1...
I got the 'first draft' of the official Race T-Shirt, pictures coming soon!
It is sweet!
Also, we now have 5 sponsors for the race, including:
John Izzo of http://IzzoStrengthTraining.com
Sarah Rippel of http://fitprosarah.com
Steve Payne of http://safatloss.com
Dave Gleason of http://homeofficeworkouts.com
Bill Vasko of http://coachbook.ning.com
These trainers & coaches are some of the "New Wave" of true leaders in the fitness & sports training worlds, and they are trusted by me to help you out on your quest to a better, fitter body! I'm glad they joined "The Nation" to help get this race going strong!
Also, due to popular request, and as a way to get even more participants for this event, I have decided to have Teams for the race!
This is going to be fun, because any team can have its own combination of male & female: It can be all male, all female, 1 male & 3 female, 2 & 2, or 3 male & 1 female...any combo makes One Team. It would be too confusing to me to have seperate categories for each, so instead, feel free to create your own super-team of runners however you wish! I didn't want to create seperate categories of teams, because hey, as a director of this, I just want to make it simple as I can. So, there are basically 3 overall categories:
Individual Male
Individual Female
Team
Each team member will be placed as an individual, much like a cross-country race is scored. Each individual team member's placing will be added up, such as they do in a cross-country meet. The team with the lowest score wins. In case of a tie, both teams will win the sponsored prizes of e-books that will be given to the winners.
Overall, I just want people to enter this event and have fun with it along with their friends, that's why I wanted to include a team category for this event. By having a Team get put together, it helps everyone in the team to be held accountable to each other in their training, and it offers a built-in support network for each runner to turn to as well.
So, in the next week, I challenge you to find a few buddies and enter as a team!
As a way to intice you to find a team, ASAP, and get going on it, I will send you a FREE copy of my old training guide that is no longer sold, from the initial days of my training business of Speed Dial Coach: The Turbo-Fit Boot Camp e-book!
If you send me a list of your team to Rick@ASAPWorkouts.com , I will then send you a free copy of "Turbo-Fit Boot Camp" over email. It is filled with a 4 week training plan of strength & cardio workouts, ones in which you can apply right in your own home or local gym.
So, get your team together ASAP, and get your free guide! Teams must be registered by March 7th in order to get this free guide!
Any regular individual who wants to enter on their own, they can also get the free Turbo-Fit Boot Camp guide, too! So sign up now, soldier!
